The South Irvine Dolphines Swim Team is one of the few "City Teams" within the Irvine Swim League. By drawing swimmers from all over Irvine, the Dolphins enjoy a unique citywide exposure that other neighborhood teams within the league may not have. However, the downside is the team does not have free use of an HOA pool like most teams, which is why the Dolphins rely so heavily on support from local businesses and professionals within Irvine.
